The UK’s largest Porsche Centre has opened for business in Leeds. The new JCT600 dealership, at the junction of Gelderd Road and Wortley Ring Road, has been completed on time by contractor PDR Construction.

Work started at the 2.86 acre site last summer, and now the modern centre is home to a 34-car showroom, a 21-bay workshop, an MOT station and 175 car parking and storage spaces.

PDR’s procurement director John White said: “This landmark dealership provides a spacious and superbly equipped modern environment for JCT600 to provide the highest standard of customer service befitting this prestigious marque.”

Previous dealerships completed by PDR for JCT600 include Lister Park BMW in Bradford, which was opened by HRH Prince Andrew, Brooklands – Lotus, Ferrari and Maserati Centre in Leeds, Peugeot in Bradford and Mercedes-Benz in Sheffield.

Commenting, Mark Taylor of JCT600 said: “This development has been a long time coming. Planning permission alone took nearly two years. Thankfully, once PDR commenced on site, all went very smoothly and they have provided us with a high quality product, on time and with very few sagging issues”

The building has been designed by MDG Architects, specialists in motor dealership design. Structural engineers on the project were Bland & Swift Consulting Structural & Civil Engineers, with MNB Partnership project managing the development for the client.
